PRIVACY POLICY

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("the Policy") outlines how the personal data of visitors to the "Digital HUG" website, available here, is processed. Any reference to terms defined in the Terms of Use and/or the Cookie Policy has the meaning ascribed to them in the respective texts.

"Personal Data" refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The Controller, as defined by the legislation, is the Administrator, and communication methods with them can be found here.

The collection, management, and processing of Personal Data are not necessary for the functioning of the Blog, and visitors are not obliged to provide Personal Data to the Blog for the use of the Content. However, a visitor may wish to comment on a Blog post.

2. Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing

Any processing of Personal Data by the Blog is based on the visitor's consent. The Administrator processes the Personal Data that visitors may provide to the Blog for communication purposes regarding specific Content. Additionally, the Administrator does not process Personal Data through automated processing or profiling.

The following Personal Data may be subject to processing:

  • Desired name or pseudonym,

  • Any social media account of the visitor, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Google,

  • Email account,

  • Any website owned or related to the visitor,

  • The visitor's preference to receive informational messages at the email address provided for new comments on the Blog post,

  • The visitor's preference to be informed about new articles posted/shared on the Blog.

Visitors are strongly advised to avoid disclosing unnecessary Personal Data for commenting. The Administrator will make every reasonable effort to promptly delete such Personal Data, but cannot guarantee that it will not be perceived by third parties or that the deletion will be complete, especially regarding the processing of Personal Data by third parties.

The Blog may also collect Personal Data through cookies. The following categories of Personal Data may be processed through cookies:

  • Visitors can learn more about cookies in the Blog's Cookie Policy.

The Administrator may process any visitor's Personal Data when processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation of the Administrator (e.g., in case a visitor violates the Terms and, following a request for information by competent authorities).

Finally, the Administrator may process any Personal Data of visitors that they have granted or when processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator (e.g., for the assertion of legal claims arising from illegal or non-compliant use of the Content).

3. Data Processing by Third Parties

Through the Blog, Personal Data of visitors may be collected and processed by third parties, as necessary according to the purposes set by each third party.

4. Withdrawal of Consent

Visitors can withdraw their consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal. Withdrawal can be made either by deleting the comment, and withdrawal of consent for electronic communication is done through an option provided in each email message.

5. Visitors' Rights

In accordance with the law, visitors of the Blog have the following rights:

  • Right to information: Visitors can know who processes their data, what data is processed, and for what purpose.

  • Right of access: Visitors can request free access to the Personal Data held by the Blog.

  • Right to rectification: In case of inaccurate Personal Data, visitors can request correction or completion of incomplete details.

  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): Visitors can request the deletion of their Personal Data under certain conditions, such as when the data is no longer necessary, the visitor has withdrawn consent, or the data has been unlawfully processed.

  • Right to restriction of processing: Visitors can request the restriction of processing when the accuracy is contested, the processing is unlawful, the data is no longer needed by the data controller, or there are objections to automated processing.

If any visitor has doubts or questions about the processing of their Personal Data, they can contact the Blog Administrator. 6. Changes to the Policy

The Policy may change in the future. The Administrator will make every effort to make any changes known to visitors as soon as possible, such as by posting on the Blog about the change. However, visitors are encouraged to regularly check the Policy upon entering the Blog.
